Published 20 Novembre 2017

During this “data session” day, participants were invited to dialogue and share concrete methods, tools or solutions so that local energy data can be effectively leveraged for the benefit of the energy transition in the territories. More than 115 participants took part.

Three priority axes for the provision of data

In view of the fact that energy data are essential to the development of territorial climate-air-energy plans, the diagnosis of energy consumption in the territories or the planning of new energy orientations such as renewable energies, Brune Poirson announced three priority axes :

  • The gradual introduction of a new, more complete access system to energy data, integrated into the national data.gouv.fr platform ;

  • The creation of a “base” toolbox for local authorities to help them prepare their climate-air-energy plan. GreenTech start-ups are invited to deploy, enrich or adapt it for the benefit of local authorities ;

  • The opening of an “energy data lab” in the GreenTech incubators to exchange and share knowledge.

In the coming weeks, the Ministry of Ecological and Sustainable Transition will launch a data visualization competition for local energy data.
