Get a preview of the sustainable city of the future, explore one of Europe’s biggest “smart districts” with PassivHaus certification, discover the first Power-to-gas demonstrator in France, get a behind the scenes visit of a pioneer site for smart connection and regional management of the electricity distribution network and discover over 50 smart energy projects within the SMILE showroom (showcase of smart-grid know-how) being deployed in western of France.

Visits will be approached under the angle of the integration of RE and flexibility.

Participants will be taken care of all day long – lunch and transport included.
Departure from Paris – Montparnasse train station at 7.23 am / Arrival 9.19 am in Nantes.

Visitors will be taken by bus through the Fleuriaye eco district in the North of Nantes to discover one of Europe’s largest positive energy districts and then to Minerve, the first French “Power-to-gas” demonstrator, which provides a solution for storage of renewable energy through methanation.

The visitors will then be taken to the SMILE Showroom in the centre of Nantes city to discover the projects deployed as part of SMILE and related to the theme of this tour. This will be combined with the visit of the Enedis Regional Management Agency located on the same site as the showroom. This agency is the only one in France to integrate 3 smart connection offers.

Visitors will then be transported back to the train station. Arrival at 6.22 pm by train at Paris Montparnasse station.
