Around fifty projects will be selected and will join a GreenTech incubator that will bring them financial and technical support.
Selected startups will benefit from initial funding called “pré-amorçage” (pre-start) of 150 000 and, a subsequent payment of 500 000 euros, for the most promising. They may also benefit from the expertise of ADEME, IGN and Météo France for their development.
The call for projects covers 14 challenges, four of them are Smart Grids challenges:

The Ministry will organize a series of hackathons in 2016 to identify public services that in the fields of ecology, sustainable development and energy can be improved with digital innovations. These hackathons will be preceded by a “Vision Camp” for a day to identify the problems and determine how the use of digital resources could help resolve them.
